Painting the Army of the Dead
Here is a guide on how to paint the Army of the Dead. I wanted mine to look like ghosts(spitits) not corpses. I wanted to give them that greenish glow characteristic in the films, but also the grey texture wentioned in the books. Here is what I came up with:
you will need:
Skull white
Dark angels green
Shadow grey
First, i painted the model with a basecoat of white(not black!). The paint wasn't applied thickly on the model, and the grey plastic was still partly visible:
Then, I painted the model with dark angels green. However the brush was very wet with water and only a very dilute (mifquh) layer of green was used:
When it had dried, I drybrushed the model with shadow grey:
Before the grey dried up completely, I applied another drybrush, this time of skull white:
And ready
