High elves are the best fighting troops available to the good player. Here is a guide on how to paint them.
You will need:
Chaos black
Elf flesh (or dwarf flesh)
Mithril silver
Regal blue
Dark flesh
Bestial brown
Shining gold
Codex grey
Skull white

First, paint the model with a good undercoat of chaos black:

Then, paint the face in elf flesh (I use dwarf flesh) and the armour with mithril silver:

When it dries, repaint the armour with shining gold. Leave the chainmail silver though:

Paint the cloak(outer part only) and sash codex grey:

Next, paint the inner clothes and cloak regal blue:

Paint the shoes, gloves, quiver and strap with dark flesh:

Paint the bow and arrows bestial brown, and the feathers white:

Finally, mix a little mithril silver with lots of water, and slightly wipe the brush over the outer cloak and sash, to create a slight shine texture:Painting High Elves Lotr_p28

And ready:
